The Bespoke Journey

The bespoke process is a journey, and a co-creation.

It is a dialogue, where I use my intuitive gifts to feel into you, your words, your visual references, to translate and encapsulate a specific story and feeling into a unique piece of jewellery.

This bespoke journey is about love, in its many expressions and forms.

It is about celebrating, honouring and anchoring parts of yourself, a beautiful milestone, a commitment, a new family member, a birthday, an anniversary, a memory, an emotion.

It is about bringing to life an object that makes you feel connected, held and protected.

When creating a one of a kind statement, a bespoke engagement ring, or remodelling unworn jewels, I infuse the piece with your intention, activating and sealing energy into the design, the metal and the gemstones. Creating for you a wearable talisman infused with love, meaning, and magic.

Whether you are commissioning a piece for you or one of your loved ones, it is always such a joy and honour to design the precious piece you dreamt of, and bring to life the symbolic treasure that will be worn close to one's heart, cherished, and passed on.

If you would like to enquire about a bespoke piece or a customised design, you will find more information about the process below.

Process and enquiry

Key information

The bespoke offering starts at £2000 for a piece of jewellery.

Depending on the design, most bespoke pieces will take 6 to 12 weeks to get made once the final design has been approved and a 50% deposit has been paid.

Initial enquiry

I invite you to contact me via email at hello@margauxclavel.com or via the contact form on the website, and share with me as much detail as possible.

Find below a list of information that will help me understand the nature of your project and guide you through the first steps of the process. However do not worry if you are unsure or only able to provide some of the details. We can investigate, feel into your intention, and look into how it might materialise once you have been in touch.

-Budget

-Deadline or Timeframe

-Type of jewellery (Ring, Engagement Ring, Wedding Band, Bracelet, Necklace, Earrings,...)

-Style (Delicate, Bold, Organic, Geometric, Symmetrical, Asymmetrical, Angular, Soft,... Is it inspired by a specific design you have spotted on the website or the Instagram page?)

-Materials (Type of metal: white gold, platinum, yellow gold, rose gold,... Coloured gemstones, white diamonds, Soft and neutral tones, bright colours,...)

-Size (Ring size, wrist size, necklace length, an idea of proportions,...)

-Visual references (I invite you to share any jewellery or mood images you would like to use as inspiration for your bespoke piece)

-Is there a story, a memory, a symbol, a message, or a feeling you would like to incorporate into the design? (it could be in the form of an engraving, or as part of the design itself.)

-Is there an intention, a specific energy you would like to infuse into the piece of jewellery?

-Do you have any heirloom or sentimental jewellery that you would like to remodel, or charge with a new intention or energy? (take the gemstones out to use them for a new piece of jewellery? Melt or scrap some old gold?)

Follow up and initial design stage

Once I have received your enquiry, depending on the nature of your project I might contact you to arrange a consultation (online or in person) to discuss things further, or take some measurements.

If needed for your project, I will request a £250 stone sourcing and design deposit (this fee is non-refundable, but it is fully deductible from the final fee for your piece of jewellery) to start looking for the perfect and most meaningful gemstone and start working on some design options. On average, I will select and present you 3 gemstone options based on your brief, and will work on 3 design options/directions.

Final design stages and production

The design process might vary depending on the nature of your project, and might include sketches, 2D and 3D mock ups, and 3D models.

You will be invited to choose amongst a selection of designs and gemstones presented with their quotations. Materials will be sourced from a selection of excellent trusted London based and International suppliers I have worked with over the years. Recycled, ethically sourced, and certified options will be available on request.

Once the design and choice of materials have been finalised and approved, I will provide you with a final quote and an estimated production lead time. Depending on the design, most bespoke pieces will take 6 to 12 weeks to get made.

A 50% deposit will be required to start the production, the remaining 50% will be paid on delivery.

The making process will be documented and I will share those images and videos with you on completion of the project.

Through the whole making process, I will keep your intention in mind, and activate and infuse your piece with the energies we are calling in for this project.

I will bring your piece to life working from my studio in Brighton or the Goldsmiths’ Centre in London, using a range of traditional and modern goldsmithing techniques, and collaborating with some of London’s finest craftspeople (caster, stone setter, engraver,...).

I will be in touch when your beautiful piece of jewellery enters the final production stages.

Delivery

Once your jewellery piece has been finalised and the remaining balance paid, I will contact you to arrange delivery (shipping or collection in person).

Your piece will come beautifully packaged and ready to diffuse its magic.
